This charter outlines the objectives, role and scope of the Parents Council.

Aims & Objectives

The aim of the Parents Council is to provide a mechanism by which the parents collective views can be objectively voiced to the troop leadership. With the following objectives:

• Provide feedback on programmes from a parents perspective
• Ensure we are communicating appropriately with the parents
• Investigate why Scouts leave/don’t start
• Identify other activities parents could help the troop with

Council Membership

The council would be made up of:

• 2 parent representatives
• 2 young leaders
• 1 Scout Leader.

The council will be run and meetings chaired by the young leaders.

Meeting & Communication

The council will meet once a term and updates/minutes will be posted below.
