I used to be a werewolf, but I am alright nowwwwwwwwwwww! Last night at Scouts the Patrols were given 1 hour to build a robot entirely out of recycled materials. Having prepared by raiding parents recycling bins, at the wistle a frenzy of activity ensued, creating our own mini landfill across the hall. After 15 minutes arms and aapendages began to appear and then over the next half an hour the robotos began to take form. Leaving the last 15 minutes for accesories and adornments. At the final whistle all patrols managed to create a roboto that met the competition criteria, namely:

  • The robot had to be bigger than the tallest person in the patrol
  • The robot had to be free standing, and
  • The winner would be the one who had designed & built the most creative Robot (this term is about the Creativity badge after all)

The judgeing was done independantly and the winning patrol was Fox patrol (second from the right), who got 200 hundred points for the Patrol competition, because it was 'the one that looked the most like a robot'. Well done everyone. To view the robots click on the image above.
