Scouts belong to Troops with each young person belonging to a patrol. Each patrol is named after an animal or bird and has a patrol leader and an assistant patrol leader who runs their patrol. The Scout Troop is the third and final section within the Scout Group.

We have five Patrols; Fox, Hawk, Otter, Stag & Woodpecker. Throughout every term the 5 patrols compete for points. At the end of term the patrol with the most points wins and each patrol member gets a prize. Prizes for the winning Patrol will be awarded on the 5th week of the next term, when we do investitures and award badges. Additionally there will be a prize for the individual Scout with the most points.

Points are also awarded for exceptional behavior and as prizes during competitions/races we may hold during the night. Scouts also gain points for attending activities other than the regular evenings, badges they get, woggle making and attendance at The Renewal of Promise and Rememberance Day parades. Points are awarded for these events as follows:

Woggle Points

We award 50 or 100 points to any scout who creates a new and interesting woggle. 50 points for any woggle, 100 points for unique, innovative,  and interesting woggles, or woggles that clearly have taken a lot of work to create. From the external links on the left there is a link to a site that shows you how to make a basic Turks Head woggle out of rope. but we have some scouts who have made them out of anything, washing line, guitar strings. We also have woggles made from leather, copper, etc. the more creative the better.
