Winter 'Murder Mystery' Camp 2017 - Whodunnit!

Building upon the huge success of Winter Camps since 2013 we welcome all Scouts to attend a Murder Mystery at Mitchell Manor!

We have again been successful in securing the excellent Tinley Centre at Skreens Park so will be comfortable and warm indoors with plenty of space plus extensive grounds for outdoor fun. It is a favourite of the older scouts and will be an excellent introduction for the newer scouts into 5th Billericay Camping. The Theme this year is Murder Mystery where the scouts will be in a 2 day clue-tastic, puzzle solving event. Was it Mr Richards, in the Billiard room with the Lead pipe, or Mr Vere in the Garden shed with the Revolver, who knows. Their challenge is to find out.

Mitchell Manor will be at Skreens Park Chelmsford (same place as the last 5 year) and we hope we have a little less snow this time. We have planned a packed weekend of action and adventure for your young Scouts and we will be staying in the fabulous luxury of the Tinley Centre a centrally heated fully equipped purpose built activity centre at one of the countries best Scout Camp Sites. Details for the camp are as follows:

  • Start: Friday 20th of January 2017 at 20:00 (no earlier than 19:45 please)
  • Finish: Sunday the 22nd January 2017 at 13:00
  • Location: Screens Park Activity Centre, Screens Park Road, Roxwell, Essex CM14NN.
  • Map reference: T08456436025 or T07840883402
  • A kit list is at the bottom of this page and will print on a separate sheet

The Cost has been maintained from last year to £40.00 after working very hard with the staff at Screens park to keep cost down, making this camp even better value than before.

Activities will be challenging and a lot of fun during both the day and the night!!! Plus plenty of fun and games. But that's not all, included in the price is the fantastic 4 star cooking (back by popular demand, i.e. he insisted) of our very own cook, Chef Vere. A treat for sore tummies and sore eyes ;-)

Could you please fill out the form below indicating whether your Scout is or isn't interested and return it to us (It is very important that I know either way) by the 6th January. with a cheque for £40 made payable to 'Genesis Scout Troop' (or, to use our alternative payment methods, see the recent bank direct payment policy). IF you do pay direct please email me to let me know the payment has been made. Thank you for your speedy responses.
