Most adults who are involved in Scouting are volunteers. No leader within the Scout Association or this group is paid for the work which they undertake.

All the leaders are required to undertake formal training provided by The Scout Association and in recognition of that training they are awarded wood beads which signify that training has been completed. Additional continued professional development (CPD) is undertaken to ensure they can give their best to your young person. All leaders are also required to complete a basic first aid course.
