Programmes

Each term we run a new programme. Based upon our Rolling programme model, which can be seen in more detail here. The programme follows a well proven structure, that allows the Scouts to gain the maximum out of their time with us. Ultimately leading up to them achieving the highest Scouting award, the Chief Scouts Gold award. The term programme follows the following principles:

  • 1 Challenge Badge a term, supported by 1-3 Activity Badges.
  • Patrols compete for points. Prizes for the best Scout, nominated by the Scouts.
  • Structured Evening programme
  • One weekend camp per term, annual summer camp & annual trip to Snowdon in June
  • Plus, participate in District Scout activities

The evening programme will run as follows:

18:45 – 19:00: doors open, arrival & tuck shop
19:00 – 19:10: Opening Ceremony
19:10 – 19:30: Game – run by the young leaders
19:30 – 20:30: planned activity, e.g. badge work

20:00 : Tuckshop
20:30 – 20:50: Game – run by the young leaders
20:50 – 21:00: Closing Ceremony

20:30 – 20:50: Leaders planning meeting* – including Patrol Leaders

Below are the programmes in date order. The top programme will be either the current term or next term. Please check the date carefully.

*Leaders meeting may continue after 9pm, without patrol leaders if key topics need to be discussed.
